ABOUT

I started out with film and a darkroom.

I use 35mm digital, 35mm film and 6x4.5cm medium format film cameras.

 

I use the film formats to help others understand themselves more.  This can be through a series of portraits and conversation or through teaching how to sue a camera and darkroom.

 

  I find that traditional film photography calms the mind. It requires more thought and mental focus. I teach use traditional darkroom techniques in my studio in Haute Vienne, France.

This slower photography is about learning to be present, about listening better and about respect.  Respect for others, for nature and for your own creativity.
